NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Brookhaven, Mississippi, will receive written sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 am local time on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the office of the City of Brookhaven located at 301 S First St, Room 106, Brookhaven, MS 39602 for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and for performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the construction of the 2024 MCWI/ARPA Improvements - Contract 2.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 am local time, on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the office of the City of Brookhaven.
The project includes the installation of new aeriation equipment in oxidation ditches, new pumps at headworks, refurbishing existing clarifiers, dispersing existing sludge mound at equalization lagoon, installation of algae control system in equalization lagoon, and replacement of grit removal equipment.
The Contract Time will be Four Hundred Fifty (450) consecutive calendar days, and the liquidated damages will be $750 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
Plans, contract documents and proposal forms are on file for public inspection in the office of the City of Brookhaven, 301 S First St, Room 106, Brookhaven, MS 39602, and in the office of the Engineer, WGK, Inc., 204 W. Leake St., Clinton, MS 39056 (601-925-4444). All documents required for bidding purposes, including specifications and plans, may be viewed for free at www.wgkengineersprojects.com.

Bids for this work will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom the Contract Documents and Addenda, if any, have been issued by the Engineer. Bids received by bidders to whom the Contract Documents were not issued by the Engineer will be returned unopened. State law requires a non-resident bidder to attach/include a copy of his resident state’s current law pertaining to such state’s treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid. Any bid submitted by a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor’s current state law shall be rejected and not considered for award.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the hour of 10:00 am local time on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the office of the City of Brookhaven located at 301 S First St, Room 106, Brookhaven, MS 39602. Bids will be considered by the City of Brookhaven at or before the next regular meeting thereof to be held within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of bids.
The City of Brookhaven reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in the bidding and to reject any and all bids.
